Rhoda and Emerson moved their family to Oregon in 1960, living in the Lebanon area. In 1965 they moved to a wooded acreage near Lacomb where they built a home. Rhoda was a wonderful wife and mother. She raised a large garden every year, canning and freezing her produce. She also enjoyed making quilts and comforters. She made a quilt for each of her children and grandchildren, giving many of them as wedding gifts and she gave many comforters to charity. She moved to Minnesota in 1994, living near her youngest son and his family, to be their 'next door Grandma'.
Rhoda was a sweet and generous person, who loved the Lord with all her heart. She loved to talk about her Savior and share His goodness with her family and friends and anyone who came to her in need. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
